Description
Thank you for viewing my photographs! This is an Amanita Muscaria, or Fly Agaric. This picture was taken in Southern Poland, in the Beskidy Mountains on a late fall day. Normally, the Amanita is covered with white spots. However, after a heavy rain, the white spots can be washed off, which explains why this Amanita did not have any white spots, as is known by most people and in our culture. This mushroom is extremely poisonous and psychoactive. It has been represented many times in many cultures as a symbol of a poisonous mushroom.
