Hooded crow (Corvus cornix) calling. The hooded crow is a widespread bird found throughout much of Europe and the Middle East. It is an omnivorous scavenger, eating aquatic animals, such as shellfish and anemones, as well as bird eggs, small mammals, and carrion. Photographed on the Coastal Plain, Israel, in March.
